Several tools exist to help with keyword research. For frugal blogging, here are three tools that are free.
Google Search
Enter a phrase (or word) into Google’s search box. The system displays a list of phrases that begin with the phrase you entered. Here is the result for ‘better vision.’
Google Adwords
I compared the results of searching ‘better vision’ in Google’s search with the Google AdWords Keyword Planner (adwords.google.com). Here are the average monthly searches for phrases in the above list.
better vision – 390
better vision naturally – 30
better vision than 20/20 – 30
better vision in 7 days – 10
better vision center – 70
better vision now – 10
better vision without glasses (not in the list) – 40
SEMRush
You can get 10 results free with the SEMRush tool (semrush.com). The advantage of this tool is the words in the phrase you enter, appear anywhere is the search results, not just at the beginning. Here are the results for ‘better vision.’

Google Search vs. Google AdWords vs. SEMrush
All these tools focus on the Google Search Engine, and are helpful for your keyword research. They give you ideas of what to use for your search phrases, and indicate the amount of searches on each phrase.
